Stephanie Murphree, DVM
Stephanie Murphree received her veterinary medical degree in 2005 from Ross University on St. Kitts. During her final year of veterinary school, she completed a surgical externship at the Animal Medical Center in New York, NY.
She has practiced in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association.
Stephanie Murphree is a past board member of the Kyle Chamber of Commerce and enjoys watching Kyle grow at local ribbon cuttings for new businesses.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her family (especially her nephew), traveling and is a master scuba diver. She resides with a very busy Chihuahua named Petite Pea along with three cats.
Dr. Might, Visiting Board Certified Surgeon
Dr. Kelly Might, DACVS was raised in Bedford, Texas, a town between Dallas and Fort Worth. He moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student, earning a bachelors in zoology and a minor in Spanish. He then attended Oklahoma State University for veterinary school.
Early in his first year at Oklahoma State, Dr. Might found his calling for veterinary surgery. His two internship experiences were followed by a three-year surgical residency at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. During his training, Dr. Might developed a strong interest in minimally invasive surgery and orthopedics. While there, Dr. Might published multiple manuscripts and found great interest in orthopedic research.
After 9 years away from home, Dr. Might, his wife, and two children returned to Austin, Texas. He enjoys cycling and spending time with his family.
Kathy, Lead Veterinary Technician
Kathy is a native Texan and grew up in the Buda Kyle area. Her work experience in the veterinary field began in 2007 in a small animal practice in Austin. She moved back to Kyle, Tx and started working at Republic Veterinary Hospital when it opened in 2017. She also has experience with working/training horses. She has 3 horses and her other fur babies are “Rola,” “Monster” and “Birdie.”
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her daughter and work around the farm.
She and her daughter spend a lot of time together on the farm, camping, and going on fun adventures.
Beth, Veterinary Receptionist
Beth has a fondness for animals that started as a child with her family dogs. Eventually, she pursued her love for animals working in a veterinary clinic for several years. Happy to be part of this team, she enjoys getting to know clients and their fur babies. Beth and her husband moved to Buda in 2014 from southwest Austin. They enjoy the tranquility of deer, birds and other wildlife on their property. Their sweet rescue dogs Molly and Midgley are a constant source of entertainment! Beth feels blessed with an amazing loving family that includes her husband, parents, three children, their spouses and five grandchildren.
In her free time, Beth enjoys spending time with family, reading and listening to a variety of music. She also enjoys working in her flower gardens, and taking nature photos.
